Do you know “Connecting the Dots” event with East End Arts back in 2013 was my very first open mic event? The success was why I founded CCJAM. Check out the photos of my younger self and wonderful creatives in “pre-CCJAM”!

Dear creative and amazing people,

I am hosting mini CCJAMs at my home music/teaching/jamming/as-you-name-it studio. It is a cozy space and the jam will be intimate and allows everyone who attends to get to know each other (around 10 people). If you are not sure if you should come, please just come. I will not say no to anyone :)

Sunday, November 8, 2015
1pm to 4pm
10 Macey Ave, Toronto (5-minute walk from Victoria Park station)

**This is an apartment building and we have kitties (sorry if you are allergic to cats). Please RSVP by email me may@ccjam.ca or via Facebook event, then I will send you apartment number.

I will share a few covers and songs that I have been working on. Feel free to bring anything – painting, doodles, film, photos, craft, anything! This is a positive space for everyone to share something creative.

What’s available?

  • Piano
  • Guitar amp
  • Speakers (plug in smart phone / ipod / laptop)
  • TV (for films, this might take a longer time to setup if it is not a DVD, please message or come earlier to figure things out)
  • Wifi

Potluck style! I will prepare some light food and make one dish. Feel free to bring a nut-free dish showcasing your traditional roots or creative cooking skills! You can reheat the food using my kitchen.

Donations appreciated (50 cents is okay!). All funds will be collected towards future CCJAMs in public space and registering us as a non-profit/social enterprise.

How to get there:

10 Macey Ave is an apartment building located at the north-east side of Victoria Park and Danforth. 5-minute walk from Victoria Park subway station. Free parking at subway station (weekends only), street parking, The Beer Store next to us, and Shoppers’ World plaza at Victoria Park and Danforth.

Hope to see some of you soon! Feel free to bring guests along.

Peace and love,

May

Our theme this time is “Have you been creative today?”. Come out and share your works or stories of being creative: sing your half-written song, show photos you took with your camera gift from Christmas, show us a short film you made, tell us your new recipe of no-baking-soda cookies, show us your beautiful doodles or paintings, tell us a story. You are welcome to bring a laptop, printed works, original drawings, recorded music, work sample, business cards and yourself!

This is a positive space to showcase your creative side whether you make art for a living or for leisure, because everyone is creative! Bring your little ones along to have some cookies, meet with professional artists, and enjoy fun activities.
